Nigerian entrepreneur and former beauty queen Dabota Lawson has addressed long-standing public perceptions about her past marriage, saying the narrative often presented to the public about her life was misleading.
Speaking during a recent interview With Chude, Lawson reflected on the media portrayal of her relationship with her ex-husband, businessman Sunny Aku, noting that many people assumed she was rescued from obscurity when the reality was far different.
According to her, “The world was sold a Cinderella story that this man picked me from nowhere, but that’s not true.”
Lawson explained that she grew up in a privileged and supportive home, contrary to the narrative that she came from a modest background before her marriage. She revealed that her father was an engineer who once served as the managing director of the National Fertiliser Company of Nigeria, while her mother was a successful businesswoman. See More/Details
