Taiwo Oyedele, Minister of State for Finance and Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Tax Reforms and Fiscal Policy, has raised concerns about Nigeria’s public spending priorities, questioning the continued financial investment in government-owned refineries despite widespread infrastructure challenges.
Oyedele made the remarks during an interview on Lagos Talks FM aired on Friday, March 13, 2026, while discussing the economic implications of maintaining state-run refining facilities.
