Justice John Tsoho, a judge from the federal high court, recently became the focus of negative attention after news spread about his failure to declare his assets on different social media outlets.
The judicial system’s lack of action to investigate Justice Tsoho led to strong reactions from various groups, including Lauretta Onochie, a leader in the ADC and former aide to the president.
Reports that appeared on TheCable’s official X account on Thursday, March 7th, 2026, indicated that there was increasing pressure on the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Keke-Ekun, to take appropriate action.
In her latest remarks posted on her official X account, Lauretta Onochie made a notable comment about the Chief Justice’s inaction regarding Justice John Tsoho’s situation.
She emphasized that public officials should not have to face pressure to uphold the constitution. She held the current government accountable for allowing such behavior to occur.
“How did we reach a stage where public officials need to be pressured to uphold the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria?….” she questioned.
