According to reliable sources, Governor Akeredolu, who had been receiving medical attention from State House doctors, sadly succumbed to his illness in Lagos as efforts to fly him abroad for treatment were reportedly unsuccessful.
Details reveal that in recent weeks, there were efforts to secure dialysis machines for the ailing governor in a bid to support his undisclosed medical location in Lagos. Governor Akeredolu’s health had been a concern after his return from a three-month medical leave in Germany in September. More recently, prompted by directives from President Bola Tinubu, he had taken another medical leave, transferring power to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
