The planning committee for 2024 Ede Day annual celebration has called on Illustrious sons and daughters of Edeland at home and diaspora for partnership. This call according to the planning committee chairman, Hon Lukman Afolabi, is to give all Illustrious sons and daughters of Edeland a sense of belonging in preparation for the upcoming Ede Day. Afolabi also declared that this year’s celebration will be unique in the history of Ede Day.

In a statement issued by Afolabi on Saturday, he called on Illustrious sons and daughters of Edeland who are captains of industries, successful businessmen and women, and political functionaries, among others to key into the plans for the township celebration.

He noted that the planning committee will embrace partnerships from Illustrious sons and daughters of Edeland irrespective of his/her place of residence.

He, however, urged Illustrious sons and daughters of Edeland not to support this celebration alone but to make themselves available on its grand finale.

The statement reads ” As we commence preparation for 2024 Ede Day celebration, on behalf of the planning committee I am extending hands of partnership to all Illustrious sons and daughters of Edeland across the world.

“Let’s all work together in showcasing the beautiful heritage of our hometown, Ede, to the world.

“I am assuring you that this year’s celebration will be unique and historic in the history of Ede Day.

“I equally want to use this medium to call on Illustrious sons and daughters of Edeland who are captains of industry, successful businessmen and women, professionals from different fields, and political functionaries, among others to support this annual celebration.
