BAD NEWS!!! Thirty-Year-Old Graduate Commits Suicide In Imo

Nerus Elemamba, a 30-year-old graduate of the Federal Polytechnics Nekede in Imo State, has allegedly committed suicide<<<READ FULL ARTICLE>>>

His body was reported to be found dangling in his room on Monday evening in his village in Umuohii, Oboama community in Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.

It was reported that he committed suicide after taking part in the day’s village youth labour.

An eye witness who spoke to THE WHISTLER, said, “The young man, Nerus, is from Umuohii Village in Oboama Ezinihitte Mbaise Imo State. He took his own life yesterday (Monday) evening.

“The reason for his action is unknown to anybody because he didn’t show any sign of depression.

“He is a graduate of Architecture from the Federal Polytechnic in Nekede. Until his death, he was very sound and took part in the village youth manual labour.

Iheukwumere Ibeh, the village youth leader said, “This is shocking. No one knows the reason for his actions. He didn’t leave any note behind. He was not married. He is between 30 and 31 years of age. He was not taken to a mortuary. He is being buried as we speak. This is after the specified cultural rituals to appease the land have been carried out.”

When contacted, the spokesperson for the police in the state, Henry Okoye, said that he was yet to be briefed on the incident.
