Earlier reports had said the community was set ablaze after four senior officers of the Nigerian Army including twelve others were killed in a communal clash.

Reacting to this, Ekpa said the Nigerian Army will never go unpunished, and that the consequences will be felt even in the North.

In the early hours of Saturday evening, fourteen lifeless bodies of the soldiers killed were recovered.
According to Channels TV, the corpses were recovered by soldiers of the joint task force under the supervision of the General Officer Commanding 6 division Nigerian Army, Major General Jamal Abdussalam,
Sadly, some of the corpses were recovered with some parts of the body missing.
While some of the corpses were beheaded, others had their stomachs, hearts and intestines ripped off, reports say.
At the NDDC jetty in the coastal Delta community, the bodies of the commanding officer and the two killed majors were seen floating by the river bank as others were separated on land.
Meanwhile, the entire communities in Bomadi and Ughelli south local government areas of Delta State was cordoned off by operatives of the 6 Division Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, who also oversees the 63 brigade in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
The tragic killing of the soldiers had triggered the reaction of the Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, who on Saturday ordered a probe into the incident.
It was gathered that the slain military personnel responded to a distress call after the communal crisis between the Okuama and Okoloba communities, both in Delta State, before they were killed on Thursday, March 14<<<READ FULL ARTICLE>>>
