Miguel Ribeiro was Al Nassr’s No. 1 target for the Sporting Director role. He had previously worked in Portuguese clubs Rio Ave FC and Famalicao and his work had impressed both Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Castro. However, he has reportedly rejected the approach from the Saudi side and reportedly even issued an apology to the club.
The decision was quite a surprise to the upper management, who expected him to sign the contract.
