“Welcome to my kingdom.” She said and her voice shook the whole place. I was terrified,
“Who are you?”
I implored shakingly.
“I am your wife,” She answered and my eyes opened immediately and I discovered I was still kneeling. I checked the time and to my greatest shock, it was 7 am already, time for work and I hadn’t even said a single word of prayer.
I coldly got up and went to prepare for work as there was no time to pray again.
Just as It had always been, I was looking pale and dizzy at work, doing everything with reluctance. My boss would ask if I was ok and I would say yes, but deep down, I knew I wasn’t even close to being ok.
The only reason I still went to work was because of the fear of hunger, If not, I would have just stayed indoor and locked myself.
When we dismissed from work, I carried my bag and disappeared without saying a word to any of my coworkers.
“Hey! Watch where you’re going!”
Bikers and Drivers kept yelling at me, I wasn’t myself at all, always lost in thoughts, thoughts that would drive me out of my body, making me bodily present and absent-minded.
When I got home, I managed to prepare some noodles which I bought on the way. I didn’t even have the appetite, I was only eating for the sake of it. After taking a few spoons, I kept it and decided to write as it had been very long since I last updated my Facebook family.
