This act of compassion from the Aba based cleric is coming at a time when pastors and General Overseers of most churches in Nigeria have come under severe criticism by netizens for failing to carter for their parishioners in the face of the present economic realities of the country.
Pastor Victor who shared the said sum to members on Easter Sunday, said that he had to sell his car, a black coloured Toyota Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) to raise the money he used for the project.
The Pentecostal Pastor who didn’t disclose the name of his church said that the SUV was the last in the fleet of his cars.
According to the cleric, out of the 50 persons that the ₦2.5m was shared to, some got ₦100,000, while others got ₦50,000, which he said, was meant to support their businesses.
Pastor Victor writes “God gave His Son out of love, we must receive him by Love.
He said that the joy he had touching the lives of members of his church, including widows was beyond the joy he gets while driving the last car that he sold.
“As I recounted God’s love over my life, the wicked attack of the enemy I survived, in my birthday celebration today.
“I sold off my last car to help everyone in our church, who’s business capital is not more than #50,000.
“About 50 persons benefited, some received #100,000, #50,000 etc.
“Many were given scholarship to learn the trade of their choice with #10,000 monthly allowance.
“The widows where not left out… The joy in my heart helping people today, is more than the joy I had driving the car.
