Mike just like Oliver de’coque was a highly celebrated and talented musician.

What made Mike outstanding was his unique way of telling stories with great morals in his music.

In fact, this is the reason the Igbo folks usually say ‘Akuku n’egwu Mike Ejeagha’ when someone starts telling plenty stories.

Mike musical career started in Coal camp Enugu state, where he learnt how to play the guitar from two of his neighbours.

He soon formed his own band and realized story telling was his calling.

He also played during the Civil war; he sang to the Biafran soldiers.

Mike, lost his wife in 1963,

In 1964, he waxed an album in her memory.

Though, Mike has 10 children, none of them are talented in music as he is.
