Igboho and Adams are embroiled in a fight recently brought to the fore by a leaked audio of a conversation the latter had with one Nuru Banjo.

In it, the Oduduwa Progressives Congress leader perhaps imputed killing of slain former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Chief Bola Ige to Igboho, and also alleged that the separatist was paid N50m by President Bola Tinubu through Tayo Ayinde, the Chief of Staff to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to kill him.

In turn, the Yoruba generalissimo faulted the viral video claiming it was doctored and subsequently made up with Ayinde, who had threatened slamming lawsuit against him.

On Thursday, Igboho made good on his threat to sue Adams for defamation.

In the suit marked I/406/2024 before an Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan, Igboho is seeking an order compelling the defendant to pay N500m as aggravated damages over the leaked audio conversation, which he claimed calumniated him.
