According to the outspoken human rights activist, the arrest of Bobrisky by operatives of the EFCC shows they are idle. He said the EFCC should be shamed of themselves as the power to arrest and prosecute is a public trust that should not be weaponized for the prosecution of those whom they don’t.
In his post on his Social Media handle, the pioneer comedian in Nigeria, Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, known as Alibaba opined that in Nigeria today, the reason the EFCC gave for arresting Mummy of Lagos is what people do on a daily and at different events both within and outside the state of Lagos.
Posting the video attached here, Alibaba asked, “And Bobrisky was arrested for what again? Because they are men? EFCC has arrested another lady for the same thing that men get away with.
It is not clear as at the time of filing this report if Bobrisky has regained his freedom, as some say he had left the EFCC detention cell after meeting his bail conditions, while some say he has not been able to meet the bail conditions and may likely sleep in the cell till tomorrow.
