According to a source as reported by The New York Times, Trump delivered the remarks during a 45-minute presentation at a dinner held by investor John Paulson on Saturday night.
During the presentation, Trump criticized Biden’s border policy and derided his decision-making abilities while seated at the Resolute Desk, a gift from Queen Victoria to the United States back in 1880.
‘The Resolute Desk is beautiful,’ Trump proclaimed. ‘Ronald Reagan used it, others used it.’
An unnamed attendee described Trump as appearing ‘disgusted’ and mentioned that Trump hinted he might not use the Resolute Desk in the future as he claimed it had been ‘soiled,’ in a literal sense, which he found saddening.

The remarks followed a tirade against Biden’s immigration policy, which includes migrants being ‘shipped in, brought in, deposited in our country,’ according to Trump.
The former president claimed the newly arrived migrants ‘make the Hells Angels look like extremely nice people.’
‘These are people coming in from prisons and jails,’ Trump said. ‘They’re coming in from just unbelievable places and countries, countries that are a disaster.’
He then appeared to reference a comment from 2018, when he dubbed Haiti, El Salvador and a slew of African nations ‘shithole countries’
‘And when I said, you know, why can’t we allow people to come in from nice countries, I’m trying to be nice,’ Trump said.
‘Nice countries, you know like Denmark, Switzerland? Do we have any people coming in from Denmark? How about Switzerland? How about Norway?’
Trump has accused migrants of ‘poisoning the blood of the country’ and made similar comments during a rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan last week, accusing Biden of unleashing a ‘bloodbath’ at the country’s southern border.
‘Under Crooked Joe Biden, every state is now a border state. Every town is now a border town because Joe Biden has brought the carnage and chaos and killing from all over world and dumped it straight into our backyards,’ Trump said.

In a press release from her office last month, Blackburn claimed ‘30,000 illegal immigrants with prior criminal convictions, including homicide, domestic violence, and sexual assault’ had entered the country under Biden’s watch.
‘As a direct result of this open-border agenda, gang members from around the world are entering America and setting up their operations, endangering police officers, families, and public safety,’ Blackburn said.
The release was titled ‘Biden’s Open Border is Fueling Violent Crime’ and made reference to Laken Riley, the 22-year-old University of Georgia nursing student who was murdered by an illegal immigrant from Venezuela.
While instances of violence serve as a topic of fixation in the press, the alleged ‘migrant crime wave’ is not supported by recent data.
Nationwide crime saw a decline in 2023, according to the FBI, including homicide decreasing by 13 percent year over year. This followed an unprecedented spike in homicides from 2019 to 2020.
