During an Instagram live session, an emotional Funke said that she wasn’t aware of the situation and that she would have helped if she was.

She said it was unfair that Nigerians were wishing death upon her children despite all that she had gone through already.
Funke narrated how she became depressed after losing her mother and the issues she went through during COVID-19 while also getting divorced.

She pondered why anyone would wish her more pain as she was always willing to help those around her contrary to the rumors. She added that she reached out to the late Jumoke’s brother afterwards but got no response.
