Lilian was born in a humble background. She was not able to further her education due to lack of school fees. A friend working in Nairobi as a househelp connected her with a job, and she traveled to Nairobi and got employed as a househelp.

After a few months of working, she met a guy and fell in love with him. They later moved in together and informed their parents, who blessed them to start their own family. Her husband expected her to conceive, but it didn’t happen as quickly as he hoped.
They remained childless for four years. The in-laws began complaining and calling her barren. Her husband started mistreating her and having affairs outside the marriage. She stated that her husband wanted her to conceive and would force her to sleep with him ten times in one night, citing her torn uterus as the reason for her inability to conceive.
Despite the challenges, Lilian remained prayerful, and after five years, she conceived twins. She went through the nine-month journey of pregnancy, and after giving birth, her in-laws demanded that one of the twins be killed according to their culture.
Lilian disagreed with them. One day, her husband woke up, packed all his belongings, and left Lilian with her twins.
