She says she was born in Murang’a county and reached class seven as per her school she got pregnant and this is what that hindered her from continuing with education and also her mum kicked her out.
After she kicked out she went to her grandmother’s home and she welcomed her out of mercy she even started up a business for her it is when carrying out business of selling foodstuffs that she met a man and they decided to get married after talking for some time.
Ruth got married and even got three more children with this man who is now the ex husband after the birth of the third child, the man started changing.He became a drunkard and was even abusive to Ruth .He would insult her Infront of her neighbors whenever he came home drunk.
Ruth says that the husband started having relationships with the women who sold alcohol to him she says he would come home late and would threaten to kill Ruth whenever asked of his whereabouts sometimes he would even beat her up.
She says that she saw things were getting out of hand when one day the husband came home drunk as usual but also came with a mistress He wanted to sleep with his mistress on their matrimonial bed but Susan refused this led to an argument.
The mistress got pissed and left them as they argued the husband followed her and never came back that night until the following morning she says that on that morning the husband was filled with fury and threatened to kill her.

The husband kicked the children outside and locked the door Ruth says that she knew she was going to die that day she started screaming for help as the husband reached for the kitchen knife.He managed to stabb her arm.
However before he could cause more harm to her the police around the area came to her rescue and shot the until it opened Ruth managed to run away and the husband was arrested She took her children and they got help from the neighbors.
She sought medical attention and was treated however she refused to press charges and decided to go start life without the husband they were given a place to stay by a Friend until she was able to rent a place after sometime however she saw it better to go to her parents.
Currently she lives with her four children in her parents home.
