While reacting, Senator Shehu Sani made it known that over a hundred prisoners escaped from the Suleja prison, stating that some of the prisoners will return freely, some will be apprehended, but some of them will never be seen till thy kingdom come.

Senator Shehu Sani made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle, while reacting to the reported escape of these inmates.

He wrote: “The Suleija Prison wall collapsed. Over a hundred prisoners reportedly escaped. Some will return voluntarily. Some will be rearrested. Some will never be seen till “thy kingdom come.”

It should be recalled that it was reported that no fewer than 119 inmates of the Medium Security Custodial Centre, Suleja, Niger state, escaped from the prison, following hours of heavy downpour which destroyed parts of the facility on Wednesday night.
