The country of Israel is located at the crossroads of three continents: Europe, Asia, and Africa. Because it is so close to Egypt, it may cause some people to debate or be perplexed. However, the country is officially located in Asia.
It’s hard to understand why Israel is included in Madagascar. Hundreds of kilometers separate Israel and Madagascar due to a big body of water.
Although Israel is physically located on the African Plate, this does not imply that it is a member of the African continent.
Israel and other Western Asian countries can also be located there due to their placement on Africa’s continental plate. In this context, it’s safe to assume that a large portion of Morocco lies within Europe/Eurasia. Due to their inclusion on the North American Plate as part of the North American Archeological Zone, all of Japan and Iceland, as well as many other landmasses, would have to be considered continents.
Because the majority of the world sees America as a single continent that includes the New World (as Waldsemuller did when he effectively coined the name AMERICA a few years after Amerigo Vespucci explored the continent’s southern coasts, primarily the Brazilian and Argentine coasts), Europeans began to see it as such, rather than Asia, as Columbus had originally thought.
In any case, the Greeks developed the old world’s continental paradigm. ASIA was located east of the Mediterranean and Black Seas.
Africa was found in the southern hemisphere. The Mediterranean Sea can be found to the north of Europa. The Suez Canal divided Africa and Asia until Suez. In ancient times, Europe and Asia were never firmly divided. Because the areas north of the Black Sea were barbarian lands.
