Oko-Jumbo issued this warning less than 24 hours after his emergence as speaker of the 10th Assembly.

The new speaker, accompanied by two other lawmakers of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), stated that they would provide him with the necessary support to succeed. However, he also warned that the Assembly would not hesitate to take action if the Governor continues to engage with the Amaewhule-led faction.

“We have unveiled our speaker, which is very much in line with whatever we want to achieve in this administration of His Excellency (Siminalayi Fubara),” Oko-Jumbo stated.

He continued, “But, away from that, we want to further warn that if His Excellency ever has any dealings with those former members, we, the 10th Assembly, original members of the 10th Assembly, who by the special grace of God, by constitutional powers, we form the right quorum to sit and to address the business of the day, we want to tell His Excellency, that should he for any reason go about doing any business or dealings with those former members, we’ll have no choice than to raise our hammers. And you all know what it means, to commence impeachment proceedings against him.”READ FULL ARTICLE>>>>
