A video showing the moment a suspected peadophile was confronted after he was caught proposing an affair to a 13-year-old girl named Hadijat, and attempting to lure her to his room, has made the rounds on social media.
A local resident witnessed the suspected pedophile attempt to lure the young girl hawking cocoyam into his room, recording the incident from his window to secure evidence. After filming, the witness came out of his house and confronted the suspect directly.
The suspect, however, claimed he was only playing when he told the teenager he liked her and wanted her to come to his house.

When the girl was questionned, she recounted how the middle-aged man told her he wanted to marry her.
‘’He was asking me if I will be able to marry him and I told him you are older than me. He said he is married. He asked for my name and I told him Hadijat is my name. I said he is older than me.’
