BREAKING NEWS: Ogun Police Allegedly Assault Gateway Polytechnic Students

According to The Guardian Nigeria report on Wednesday, May 13, 2926, students of the Gateway Institute of Technology, Igbesa, in Ogun State have accused police officers attached to the Igbesa Division of assault and unlawful detention during a confrontation over the arrest of a student found with black soap.

The incident reportedly began during a stop-and-search operation when a student was allegedly arrested over possession of black soap and locked up at the station.
