Daily Post reports that on May 13, 2026, Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe of Adamawa South explained his decision not to join the ruling All Progressives Congress, stating that the party and Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration had failed to adequately address the needs of southern Adamawa residents.

At a political rally in Numan, the senator made his official announcement that he will be running for reelection as an African Democratic Congress candidate.
