According to a report by The Times Of Israel on July 24, 2026, the European Union has announced fresh sanctions targeting Iranian judges accused of involvement in human rights abuses, according to EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas. She also revealed that a prominent member of a cyber group allegedly involved in helping Iranian authorities restrict access to information has been added to the sanctions list.

Kallas said the measures were introduced as Tehran continues what she described as an intensified internal crackdown. She stated that the European Union would keep pursuing individuals it believes are responsible for violations.
