Magaji Ahmadu, the village head of Sayaya Village in Matazu LGA of Katsina State, has stated that bandit attacks forced most residents to flee the village
Speaking in an interview with News Central TV, Ahmadu said Sayaya village used to be peaceful until the father of a bandit kingpin was killed there on a salah day.
Ahmadu said some residents fled to neighboring states because they were afraid that the bandit kingpin would attack the village. He said the bandit and his gang eventually invaded Sayaya village and killed about 10 people there.
Ahmadu added that Sayaya village once had more than 5,000 residents, but now the number of residents in the village are only about 200..Click to Continue/Video>>
