Abayomi Arabambi, the factional National Vice Chairman (South-West) of the Labour Party, has accused some elected members of the party of turning their backs on the leadership that helped them secure victory in the 2023 general elections.

Speaking during an interview on SYMFONI TV, Arabambi claimed that the party invested significant time and resources in defending the candidacies of several aspirants who were involved in pre-election legal disputes.

According to him, the Labour Party initially sought approval from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to substitute some candidates, but the electoral body rejected the request in line with its regulations.

He explained that the party challenged the decision at the Federal High Court, where it lost, before taking the matter to the Court of Appeal, which eventually ruled in its favour..Click to Continue/Video>>
