The directive was given by Mr. Ahmed Dangiwa, Minister of Housing and Urban Development, to Major General Joseph Omale, Managing Director of Nigerian Army Housing Development, in Abuja.
Mr. Dangiwa stated that as long as the housing units were being sold, the families of fallen heroes should have roof over their head.
He said that the ministry had been given permission to assemble a system that will serve as the foundation for the National Social Housing Fund.

The Minister who explained that the cost of land and infrastructure provision is very critical to the provision of affordable houses for the officers.
He lauded the Nigerian Army for supporting the ministry to achieve its mandate.
Managing Director, Nigerian Army Post Housing Development, Major General Joseph Omali, said they were in the ministry to discuss how soldiers could access mortgage facilities at FMBN.
He maintained that the Chief of Army Staff, initiated the Affordable Home Ownership scheme for all soldiers, primarily targeted soldiers who are not within the officer cadre, to give them opportunity to own a houses.>>>CONTINUE FULL READING HERE
