According to a release by the clerk of the House John Pedro Ironkansi on Monday, the nominees are requested to appear before the Abia State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation on Tuesday, 20th August, 2024 at 10am prompt at the Assembly Chambers.
The release also directs the Nominees to submit 35 file copies of their credentials/resume including three (3) years tax clearance certificate to the office of the clerk on or before the same Tuesday, 20th August, 2024 for necessary legislative action.
This screening process is expected to reinforce the credibility of ABSIEC, ensuring that the forthcoming local government elections are conducted with the highest standards of fairness and integrity.
