A 38-year-old hunter, Joseph Ajegba, has admitted to shooting his close friend after discovering him in bed with his girlfriend in Ikun-Akoko, Ondo State. The shocking incident occurred in the Akoko South West area of the state. Later in the evening, after consuming several bottles of beer, he ran out of cartridges and decided to return to his girlfriend’s house to spend the night.
Upon reaching the house, Ajegba found the door locked, raising his suspicions. Peering through a window, he saw his girlfriend in bed with another man, a fellow hunter and friend. In a fit of anger, he fired his weapon through the window.
The Commissioner of Police, Abayomi Oladipo, confirmed the incident, labeling it an attempted murder case. According to the police, the victim had visited the woman, unaware that Ajegba, who was also in a relationship with her, would be arriving that same night armed with a single-barrel gun.
Upon seeing the victim in bed with his girlfriend, Ajegba pulled the trigger, leading to his arrest.
