A 32-year old man, Stephen Onuche, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly burgling Assemblies of God Church and carting away property worth over N. 5m.>>>CONTINUE FULL READING HERE
P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at the church’s branch located at Saka Kayode Street, Shibiri area of Lagos.
Some of the items he allegedly stole included drinks, big power generating set, Aluminum roof, molded blocks, fans, plastic chairs, electric bulbs among others worth the said amount.

According to the Police, the suspect went to the church, stole the items and escaped. And when the church management got to the Church in the morning, they discovered what happened.
Thus, the management reported the matter at Ilembe Alausa Division and the operatives moved into action, eventually arrested the suspect and detained him at the station for interrogation.
After interrogation, the Police found him culpable for the alleged offence under the Criminal Laws of the State.
However, he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Esther Adesulu, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since he pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that he actually committed the alleged offence.
The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.M. Alade, granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum, who must show evidence of means of livelihood and tax payment while addresses will be verified by the Court.
