His best football came at Man City under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola and his last couple of seasons have been poor, to say the least.
It’s baffling to think that Sterling is still just 29 years old as it feels like he has been around forever. As per The Telegraph, Man Utd are now looking to negotiate a swap deal for the English international on their own terms this summer.
This proposed swap deal would see Jadon Sancho move to Stamford Bridge with his future at Old Trafford looking all but over. The Red Devils will also expect the Blues to cover a part of the 29-year-old’s hefty Man Utd prepared to agree their own terms to sign the star, who earns over £15.6million a year
One more European club (unnamed) have been interested in Sterling. Enzo Maresca has made it clear that the ex-Liverpool player is not a part of his plans and that it’s time that the English winger finds himself a new club for the season.
Sterling has hardly played football at the level expected of him ever since his move to Stamford Bridge. Even his last season with Man City was largely underwhelming. Should Man Utd really be taking a gamble on him then?
