Gunmen have killed Mr. Samson Omoarebokhae, a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Edo State House of Assembly Speaker Blessing Agbebaku. The incident occurred on August 31, 2024, as Omoarebokhae was traveling from Ozalla community to Uhomora in Owan West Local Government Area. In response to the tragedy, a delegation led by the Speaker’s Chief of Staff, Mr. Odion Iruobe, visited the bereaved family.
The Speaker described Omoarebokhae’s death as a significant loss to the Assembly, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Owan West Local Government Area. He extended his condolences to the family and encouraged them to find solace in God’s promises during their time of mourning.
The Speaker pledged to make every effort to ensure that those responsible for the murder are apprehended and brought to justice. He expressed his deep sorrow and hoped that, despite the pain, the family would eventually find reasons to smile again.
