In a recent statement issued by her Office, the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, has categorically denied the circulating rumors that she is organizing a National Prayer event for the country.
The announcement comes in response to widespread misinformation appearing on various conventional and social media platforms, which have led to confusion among the public. Officials urge citizens to disregard any claims regarding a joint National Prayer for Nigeria as unfounded and misleading.
Praying for Nigeria is not only an act of faith but a civic duty for every Nigerian, regardless of their religious affiliation, political views, or ethnic background
While the First Lady is a devout Christian and a steadfast advocate for the power of prayer, she emphasizes that such acts should be undertaken willingly, conscientiously, and in accordance with the individual’s beliefs. “Praying for Nigeria is not only an act of faith but a civic duty for every Nigerian, regardless of their religious affiliation, political views, or ethnic background,” she highlighted.
Her Office stresses the importance of verifying any information related to the First Lady and her engagements through official channels to avoid the spread of false news.
