POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the party secured only a single vote.
Okpebholo had earlier boasted that the PDP would not receive a single vote in his polling unit.
“PDP or whatever will not get one vote here because this is my home and my people love me,” he was quoted to have said. However, the election results told a different story.
Results show that Okpebholo of the APC secured 102 votes, while Asue Ighodalo of the PDP and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party each received 1 vote.
This outcome contrasts with the results from Akpata’s polling unit, where Asue Ighodalo emerged victorious with 41 votes, followed by Olumide Akpata with 31 votes, and Senator Monday Okpebholo with 19 votes.
