The Genius Media Nigeria reports that several residents of Borno state have been rendered homeless due to flooding that is currently sweeping almost every part of the state. In several videos shared on social media, residents were seen swimming in the flood which has now taken over significant infrastructure including the Monarch’s palace, the state’s university teaching hospital, schools, to mention but a few.
According to reports, the flood levels has not been seen in the state since 1994 and the zoo in Maiduguri has also been affected, leading to wild animals parading on the streets.
In separate videos, animals like Ostrich, crocodiles, snakes were seen parading on the streets, fueling serious safety concerns.
