The victims, including two young children, were traveling in a Mini Cooper when their car collided head-on with a Toyota Rav4, driven by a tourist couple from Dubai. The crash caused the Mini Cooper to overturn and catch fire, tragically killing all six family members instantly.

Victims of the Accident:

The tourists in the Toyota Rav4 sustained only minor injuries and are now recovering. Initially, they were mistakenly identified as Swiss citizens, but the Eastern Cape police corrected this, confirming they were from Dubai.

The accident occurred around 17:30 at the N2 -9 21,6E marker. The Mini Cooper was traveling toward the Western Cape, while the Rav4 was heading to the Eastern Cape. Upon impact, the Mini Cooper burst into flames, leaving the family with no chance of survival.
