The group appealed to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to direct the Commissioner of Justice to enter a nolle prosequi to ensure Nwajagu’s immediate release.

This group made the call in a statement made available to Saturday PUNCH by one of its members, Okechukwu Nwanguma of Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre on Friday in Lagos.

It criticised the swift arrest and prosecution of Nwajagu while ignoring those who attacked Igbos in Lagos, suggesting ethnic bias

The coalition stressed that selective justice undermines the rule of law and fuels social strife.

Recall that Nwajagu was arrested in April 2023 for allegedly threatening to invite members of the Indigenous People of Biafra to Lagos to protect Igbo properties.
