Brentford’s manager, Thomas Frank, has dismissed Liverpool’s current dominance in the Premier League, instead singling out Chelsea as the standout team at the moment.
Thomas Frank stated this during a pre-match press conference ahead of Brentford’s highly anticipated away match against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Chelsea are entering this clash with an impressive streak of six consecutive victories across all competitions, demonstrating their resurgence under the leadership of head coach Enzo Maresca.
The Blues currently sit in second place in the Premier League standings, trailing the leaders, Liverpool, by four points. However, Liverpool hold a crucial game in hand, making the title race even more intriguing.
Thomas Frank expressed admiration for Chelsea’s performance, stating, “They are maybe the best team in the Premier League right now. They may even be more in-form than Liverpool, even though Liverpool is at the top of the league.”
He further elaborated on the challenges Chelsea presents, noting, “They are playing incredible football and are well-coached. [Enzo] Maresca has done a top job so far with his coaching staff, and they look extremely dangerous.
“They have so many threats going forward and possess top-quality players all over the pitch.”
Note that Brentford are going into their clash against Chelsea on Sunday sitting on the 9th spot with 23 points in 15 games.
