In the wake of the genocidal slur by a Nigerian woman who threatened to poison non-Igbos in Canada, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission’s (NiDCOM) boss, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has been challenged to probe an old threat against Igbo made by former Niger-Delta freedom fighter, Asari Dokubo. As seen in the resurfaced video, Dokubo had lashed out at Igbos while displaying his collection of arms with another attached clip saw him calling for the murder of Igbos.

“You open, you take your leprosy hand to write. You don’t have respect for the people who brought your father. Is it every Calabari man that is a Calabari man? Do you know your root that you talk to me? You don’t know that people who own this Calabari.

“You are law abiding. Igbos I don’t know them. I don’t know where they come from. If not for British intervention, I will still be selling them the way my father sold them.

“Now look at you people in Igbo land. Look at how you are dying wotowoto. Now you will do video to sell that Alhaji has ran away. You see me, I don’t run.

“…Igbo people! Hunt them down and kill them. Don’t show them mercy.They are worse than the devil.” Dokubo could be heard saying in the collaged video.

The resurfaced video was Dokubo’s outburst after a group Igbo lawyers wrote to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, last year July, demanding for the arrest of the ex-militia over alleged threat against Igbos.

In response to the post via her X handle, Dabiri vowed to deal with the case and other subsequently related ones.

“Did it happen in the diaspora ? That’s my job schedule . Check @nidcom_gov website for more on our job schedule Let me know of more cases like Amaka’s . We will deal with them appropriately.” She wrote.
