However, there has not yet been any official announcement about President Tinubu running for a second term.
Going memory lane, Tinubu’s tenure so far has brought a mix of experiences for many Nigerians, especially after the removal of fuel subsidies 16 months ago, and the floating of the national currency.
Other developments that have taken place after the implementation of new policies have prompted widespread economic hardship, leading to public discontent amongst Nigerians.
Most recently is the frustration which triggered the #EndBadGovernance protests which took place across the country from August 1 to 10.
According to The Punch, calls to the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, were not answered as he is yet to respond to a text message sent to him on the development as of the time of filing this report.
