Ahmad made his stance clear on X, stating that he would not participate in any protest that demands Kanu’s release. He posted, “You should not expect me to join a protest where the unconditional release of terrorist Nnamdi Kanu is listed as one of the non-negotiable demands. Never!”

The nationwide protest, titled ‘Days of Rage’ or ‘EndBadGovernance’, is being organized by popular activist Omoyele Sowore and is set to address the economic hardships facing Nigerians. The protest is scheduled to take place in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Despite government efforts to prevent the demonstration, Nigerian youths are determined to proceed with the protest to draw attention to the country’s economic crisis. Sowore has outlined several key demands, one of which is the unconditional release of Kanu.

Nnamdi Kanu remains detained by the Nigerian government, even though courts have granted him bail. His continued incarceration is one of the issues fueling the protests, which aim to highlight the need for improved governance and economic relief for citizens.
