According to an inside source who spoke on condition of anonymity, Tinubu is considering releasing Kanu under amnesty on October 1 this year.

Kanu’s long detention has continued to attract widespread concerns, prompting numerous stakeholders, including South East Governors and members of the National Assembly to appeal to President Tinubu for a political solution to the situation.
