In a significant development for local governance in Adamawa State, Hon. Abubakar Jingi Jadda, the Councillor representing Jada II, was officially sworn in as the National Chairman of the Councillors Forum, Adamawa State Chapter. The ceremony took place earlier today in Nurses Home Jimeta-Yola, where he took the oath of allegiance administered by the National Treasurer of the Forum, Comrade Hon. Aminu Ayuba.

The swearing-in of Hon. Jadda comes in the wake of Hon. Kamal Salihu’s disqualification from contesting for the national leadership position. Hon. Salihu, who currently serves as the leader of Yola North and chairman of the 21 local government areas’ Councillors, was deemed ineligible under the national guidelines of the National Councillors Forum of Nigeria.

During the swearing-in ceremony, Hon. Jadda expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead and emphasized the importance of unity and transparency within the council. “Today marks a new chapter in the work we do for our communities. Together, we will strive for accountability, innovation, and development within the Councillors Forum,” Jadda remarked during his acceptance speech.
