Senator Ali Ndume made this known during an interview with a journalist on Arise Television. During the interview, Senator Ali Ndume said, “I asked the GMD of NNPCL where is the money

saved from subsidy removal and he said that there is no money. I asked him what he meant by there is no money and he said that before the fuel subsidy was removed, Nigeria borrowed in other to subsidize and they were running at a loss.”
