Former Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has offered valuable insights on how Samuel Chukwueze can thrive in his new environment in Italy.
Since his transfer from Villarreal to AC Milan in 2023, Samuel Chukwueze has faced challenges in establishing himself within the team. Frequently finding himself on the bench has limited his playing time, which can be tough for any athlete adapting to a new league.
However, Peseiro remains optimistic about Samuel Chukwueze’s future development.
He acknowledges the player’s immense potential and believes that, with the right guidance and opportunities, Chukwueze can enhance his impact on the field.
Speaking to Sportitalia via Milan News, he said, “I’ve had the pleasure of training Chukwueze during my time with the Nigerian national team, and he is an extraordinary talent. Alongside Rafael Leao, whom I would have loved to coach, both have remarkable qualities and the potential for further growth. I am confident that Paulo Fonseca will play a pivotal role in helping them elevate their game.”
Since joining Milan, Chukwueze has recorded six goals and four assists in 56 matches. While these numbers may not fully reflect his capabilities as an attacking player, there is ample opportunity for improvement as he settles into his new role.
