During an interactive session with a delegation from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) led by the state’s Acting Branch Controller, Mr Jonathan Laburta at the Government House, Bauchi, the governor emphasised the importance of agriculture in achieving sustainable food security and economic growth.
The governor said by prioritising agriculture, the state government aims to empower farmers, create jobs and stimulate economic growth.
He announced that the state government has agreed to reduce workers’ working days to enable them to tend to their farms, thereby boosting food production and ensuring sustainable food security.
He highlighted the administration’s efforts in constructing rural roads to connect farmers to accessible transportation networks.
