The People know that a nightmare that has a beginning must have an end and the end of the reign of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP government led by Mr. Godwin Obaseki is September 21 this year and no amount of blackmail will change the tide.

Contrary to widely held belief in many quarters, Nigeria’s current economic situation is not the creation of the administration of the APC government led by President Bola Tinubu but a long time accumulation by successive governments even before 1999.

Since assuming office, President Bola Tinubu has continued to make the issue of the economy a major plank of his administration’s policy, but amidst the cacophony of voices like Nehikhare’s, the few gullible citizens of Edo will be boxed into a corner of deceit.

It is unfortunate that they only look at the current situation, without wondering what would have been had this President not taken the bull by the horns, as far as some critical decisions taken so far.

The Commissioner of the failed PDP government in Edo state was only trying to divert attention of Edo People from the predicaments their party and the Candidate, Asue Ighodalo are contending with today.

The weak argument that APC has ruined the Nigerian economy, and therefore, Edo State people need to be on the alert because if the party is voted into power, they will have the same economy as the Nigerian economy is a figment of his imagination.

Time has come when the people have opened their minds and they know the candidate who has affection for their welfare and Senator Okpebolo has been known for engaging with the people all these years.

Now is the time for the people to choose the candidate they know how to approach because he has always been with them. He knows the pain they are facing and he will not increase their sufferings but rather he would ensure that they are happy.

Over the years, Senator Okpebholo has made indelible impact on the people in his constituency, and what is needed now is to extend what he is known for doing to the entire state and he has no plans to reduce the minimum wage of workers.

Edo state need a visionary governor who is patriotic and has the interest of the people first, and because of his antecedents, Senator Monday Okpebolo is tested and trusted for the office.

What the PDP is doing, is chasing shadows because they know that they do not have a candidate for the forth coming election and moreover, they know that their failed candidate and his deputy who have never contested any election in the state is not in the same class with Senator Monday Okpebolo and his Deputy, who have both contested elections and won.
