This win came after a tense legal battle involving his brothers.
What really happened
Arthur’s ordeal began when he discovered that his brothers, Olisaebuka and Onyeka Nnadozie Eze, were allegedly involved in siphoning off assets that belonged to him.
The assets which include properties in prime locations of Abuja such as Plot No. XK1057 in Apo Layout and Plot No. 188 in Cadastral Zone E12 of Orozo, were allegedly purchased with funds diverted from Eze’s business.
The vehicles recovered range from practical choices like Toyota Camrys and a Honda Accord to luxury selections such as a Mercedes-Benz GLE and a Kia SUV. Additionally, three high-value watches, including a unique gold Piaget, were part of the assets returned to him.
The case escalated to the Court of Appeal in Abuja. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nigeria’s guardian against financial crimes, stood by Arthur, presenting a strong case.
On June 7, the court ruled in Arthur’s favor, dismissing his brothers’ appeals who claimed they had acquired those assets legitimately.
