Fashola said this in an exclusive interview, adding, “Do you think it’s a joke to govern Lagos. I hardly sleep and it’s like sleeping for just three hours out of the 24 hours daily.”

“I usually woke up to know of the roads were clear and people could move the next morning. I would call the Commissioner for the Environment, Dr. Muiz Banire who would call his team to begin strategizing in the middle of the night,” he said.

Fashola stated that there was a night at about 11pm that a petrol tanker fell along Western Avenue.

“We mobilised to the place and ensured that we clear all the debris. About eight vehicles were burnt at that night and we cleared it all so that the road would be free to pass the next day before 5am,” he said.

My experience as a governor was an eight years of sleeping an average of three hours a day.

“We always had our security meeting every first Monday of every month and I did not miss anyone. Wherever I was, I must come home to attend the meeting. When everybody is celebrating Christmas and New Year crossover, we work and deploy security agents to monitor people in their worship centres and protect them,” he said.>>>CONTINUE FULL READING HERE
