A customary law (traditional) marriage can be dissolved without any judicial intervention or pronouncement, which means that the parties can end the marriage on their own without instituting any action in court for an order of dissolution of the marriage. But for dissolution to occur, there must be a formal intention act on the party who is tired of the marriage to bring it to an end. I have no business with the court to dissolve my marriage because I didn’t marry through the court or institution (Church) that is affiliated with any marriage registry. What you don’t know, you don’t know.
As per the return of BRIDE PRICE, they can return it anytime they wish but mostly as she get remarried to another man. I don’t need to go to her village for it, that’s my culture.
